An artist collective of friends
Created back in March of 2023, Cats' Den is a (Mostly Quebecer) small artist collective of friends. Our goal is to help each other out with projects, merch-making and managing, and uplifting each other.

ATCs, or Art Trading Cards are small 2.5 x 3.5" illustrations you make then trade for other ATCs made by others via mail, just like trading cards! Anyone can join the community ATC events, regardless of art skill level. The goal is to have fun trading art with other members of the community!On this page you will find rules regarding the event as well as the art.
GENERAL RULES
-People under 18 years old need to have parents' permission to participate due to sharing your address with the event host (Blacat).-Only the host of the event (Blacat) will be seeing your address. By participating, you agree that you are aware and comfortable with this.-You need to join the Cats' Den Discord server as that is where you can sign up/stay updated with the event.-If you need to drop out the event due to being unable to finish and send your ATC before the deadline, please do so a week before the deadline, or else you won't be able to participate in future ATC events of Cats' Den..-Once you've completed and sent your ATC via mail, please say it in the proper channel on the Discord server.-Do not complain about the art/skill level of the ATC you've received. This event is open to everyone, including beginners. I do not look at skills when sending ATCs to people, I randomly pick them, only making sure that I am not sending an ATC back to its creator.
ART RULES
-Art must be PG friendly, meaning no NSFW, nudity, gore, etc.-Art must be traditional art, no digital art for now. (We may host digital ATC trades in the future)-People of any skill level may participate.-Please do put as much effort as you can into your ATC. If we notice that the ATC is clearly rushed/poorly made, we may decide to give you a strike, and potentially kick you out from participating in future ATC events.-Any art medium is accepted, so long as it is properly sealed! (if charcoal, etc.)
-CARD MUST be 2.5" by 3.5". Not smaller, not bigger! Any paper medium/thickness.-A broad theme is given every event, please do respect it!-Please write your socials as well as the date the ATC was completed on the backside of the ATC. (See guide)-You may add backing to the ATC to reinforce it if desired, though optional.
ATC EVENT INSTRUCTIONS

INSTRUCTIONS / HOW TO PARTICIPATE
1. Read the rules of the event here.2. Join the Cats' Den Discord server, then check out the channel "「🖌」cd-events". If an ATC event is being hosted, there will be a "Sign up" thread.3. Read the events' info (theme, deadlines, etc) and if everything is to your liking, sign up for it!4. Make your ATC! Reminder that is has to be 2.5" by 3.5". If you scroll lower, there is a guide to adding backing to your card if you'd like to add one.
MAILING THE ATC
In the letter you are mailing to Cats' Den PO box you will need to include a few things along with the ATC to make sure I am able to mail you an ATC back!
ATC SPECIFICS GUIDE

SUPPORT/MEDIUM
- ATC may be horizontal or vertical, but must be 2.5" by 3.5".- Any paper based traditional art media and medium is accepted (watercolor paper, kraft paper, etc), so long as it can be mailed via letter internationally!- Though optional, I highly recommend adding a backing to the ATC if the paper is flimsy (such as printer paper). There is a guide lower in this page on how to add one if you need help!
TRADITIONAL MEDIA
- This is a traditional art trading event, the goal is to mail your art to someone, meaning sadly digital art is not permitted, even if printed high quality. Maybe in the future there will be digital ATC events, but for now this event is strictly traditional art.- Any traditional art media is accepted (pencil, graphite, coloring pencils, gel pen, watercolors, acrylics, etc.) but you need to make sure it has properly dried before mailing it! If using a messy media, please also properly seal it to prevent smudges.

Niamtion is Cats' Den mascot! We love to make alternate versions of our logo for different drops and events, and so on this page you will be able to find all of the previous sticker designs we have made and given away.
